Children’s tailoring
Nobody forgets the first garment that actually fit them. We take small commissions as seriously as dinner jackets — just with shorter fittings and better snacks.
Children’s formalwear fails in two predictable ways: it fits for one photograph and never again, or it is bought two sizes up and looks borrowed. A tailored junior garment solves both. We draft a proper pattern, then engineer growing room where it cannot be seen — deep hems, generous seat and side seams, sleeves that release an inch and a half without a mark.
Page-boy work is coordinated with the wedding party’s cloth so the smallest member of the procession matches the groomsmen properly rather than approximately. For school events we cut single blazers and simple two pieces that survive a full day of being seven years old.
Fittings are kept to fifteen minutes, scheduled after school, and run at the child’s pace. Most children leave the final fitting standing noticeably straighter — parents tell us this effect lasts at least a week.
What we make for juniors
- First blazers, from RM480
- Page-boy outfits matched to the wedding party, from RM620
- Prize-day and graduation two pieces, from RM780
- Junior baju melayu with structured shoulders, from RM420
- Let-out service as they grow — usually RM40 to RM80
Allow four weeks for a first junior commission. The pattern is archived like any other, ready to be graded up when they are.
Small pattern, big occasion
Bring the child, the date and the cloth colour of the main party. We handle the rest.
